Share The Benefit is a new ANGLICARE initiative that was created to give those participating an idea of what it would be like to live on the Newstart benefit for a week.

ANGLICARE’s SOS Winter Appeal has given the many thousands of children we help in Greater Sydney vital help and hope through a tough winter.

Christmas 2010 proved to be yet another time of challenge and blessing. We are so thankful for the $800,000 raised from our Christmas appeal to assist the many individuals and families who came to us in their need.

Leading up to last Christmas we received a mountain of donated goods for our annual Toys ‘n’ Tucker appeal. It was great having so many churches, schools, youth groups, businesses and individuals recognise the needs of people in our communities.

Over two very busy days at the end of February 2010, ANGLICARE staff participated in ‘Charity Expos’ held at the offices of AMP at Circular Quay and Parramatta. These expos informed AMP staff of the various Not-For-Profit (NFP) causes available for their support through ‘workplace giving’ and volunteering programs.

Light up the Street is an exciting ‘in-house’ event for Sydney youth groups.

More than 80 guests came together to celebrate the official opening of the redeveloped Chesalon Services Illawarra day centre during February.
